St. Martin Parish Sheriff s Office creates Safe Exchange Zone

ST. MARTINVILLE, La. â The St. Martin Parish Sheriff s Office has announced the creation of a Safe Exchange Zone in its parking lot where residents can make secure online purchase transactions or child custody exchanges.
According to Sheriff Becket Breaux, the Safe Exchange Zone is located in the parking lot at the St. Martin Parish Sheriffâs Office Public Safety Complex, 4870 North Main Hwy., at the corner of Cypress Island Extension and North Main Hwy., in St. Martinville.
Breaux says that upon arrival, residents just need to pull into one of the designated spots that are outlined in green and dial the number on the sign before conducting their transaction or exchange.

WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC) The Webster Police Department has created a “Safe Exchange Zone” in the Webster Town Hall parking lot.
Signs that read “Reserved Safe Exchange Zone” are placed near parking spaces on the east side of the Town Hall building.
The Webster Police Department says there is video surveillance of those spots.
It’s intended for people who are buying or selling things online to be able to meet at a safe place.
The department still suggests anyone using it bring another person with them, and says it won’t get involved in price disputes.

The Anshe Emeth Community Development Corp (AECDC) Central Jersey Diaper Bank is collecting baby clothing sizes newborn-2T, diapers and books.
Donations can be picked up if within Middlesex County. Volunteers from the Rutgers School of Nursing will arrive between 10 a.m. and noon on the day indicated.
At this time, no shoes, equipment, toys, etc. can be collected.
With local gardeners getting ready to start their spring plantings, the East Brunswick Public Library is opening its EB Grow seed library to the public.
EB Grow began in 2018 as a joint project between the library and the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission.
