New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence on Sunday (January 24, 2021) announced that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will showcase Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Navy and Anti Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) at the upcoming Republic Day Parade 2021. Delivering on its mandate of development of state of the art defence systems, DRDO once again has brought two important tableaux to the prestigious Republic Day parade 2021. Showcasing the major achievements of the year, are LCA Navy take-off and landing on board the aircraft carrier and the complete family of Anti Tank Guided Missiles, said the official statement.

New Delhi [India], January 21 (ANI): The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) entered into a framework Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to strengthen collaboration in the field of technical exchange and co-operation on sustainable geohazard management.
As per the agreement, DRDO and MoRTH will co-operate in various mutually beneficial areas related to geohazard management. The initiative will ensure safety against the adverse effects of landslides and other natural calamities on national highways in the country.
DRDO s Defence Geo-Informatics Research Establishment (DGRE) is working for the development of critical technologies for enhancing combat effectiveness in various kinds of terrains and avalanches.

DRDO, Army develop India s first indigenous machine pistol
India s first indigenous 9 mm machine pistol has been jointly developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army, the Defence Ministry said on Thursday.
It said the Army s infantry school in Mhow and the DRDO s Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE) in Pune have designed and developed the weapon.
The ministry said the weapon has been developed in a record time of four months. The machine pistol fires the in-service 9mm ammunition and sports an upper receiver made from aircraft grade aluminium and lower receiver from carbon fibre. 3 dimensional printing process has been used in designing and prototyping of various parts, it said in a statement.
