Woman dies six weeks after being attacked in Ilford

A woman who was attacked in Ilford last month has died as a result of her injuries.
At 14:08hrs on Friday, 9 April, police were called by the London Ambulance Service following reports that a woman had been assaulted inside a residential address in Princes Road, IG6.
Svetlana Mihalachi, 53, was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital where, on Wednesday, 12 May, she sadly died.
Detective Superintendent Paul Trevers said: “Our thoughts are with Svetlana’s family following this incredibly sad development. They are being supported by specialist officers.

Daniel Laskos died on May 7 in Harold Wood.

Detectives have charged a man and two boys with the murder of Daniel Laskos in Harold Wood.
Daniel was fatally stabbed in Church Road on May 7 not far from Amy s Park.
The police were called at 6.40pm to reports of a fight involving a number of people.
Officers attended and found 16 year-old Daniel with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 7pm, according to the Met.
Two boys, aged 15 and 17, who were arrested on May 7 on suspicion of murder, were charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon yesterday (May 12). Neither can be named for legal reasons.

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a mother-of-two who is thought to have been attacked after leaving a hospital.
The body of Maria Rawlings, 45, was found in bushes in Little Heath, Romford, on May 4.
Valentin Lazar, of Barking, east London, who is charged with committing murder on May 3, appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

He spoke only to confirm his personal details through a Romanian interpreter as he stood in the dock.
Lazar was ordered to next appear in custody at the Old Bailey on May 13, which will be his birthday.

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court today charged with murdering a mother-of-two who was found strangled and beaten to death in bushes.
The body of Maria Rawlings, 45, was found in shrubbery in Little Heath, Romford, by a dog walker on May 4.
Valentin Lazar, of Barking, east London, was charged with committing murder and appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
He wore grey prison-issued clothing and spoke only to confirm his personal details through a Romanian interpreter as he stood in the dock.
Lazar was ordered to next appear in custody at the Old Bailey on May 13, which will be his birthday.
