Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott’s interview with C4 and Bryan Nehman focused on COVID-19 and crime, calling both priority 1A for him.
“I was born into a Baltimore that was one of the most violent cities, so we know we have a long way to go,” Scott said. “That’s where the focus is always going to be for me… We have to have the best structure and team to move Baltimore forward.”
“Going after those drug dealers and drug organizations is about building the cases… It’s not about the dealers, it’s the users that we have to make sure are being treated through health and substance abuse, mental health issues, Scott said. That work will still continue, it’s just about how we let folks know that we can still go after these violent drug organizations…”
Scott: Priority 1A is COVID and crime
