Bashundhara Bitumen starts commercial operations New era begins in pvt-sector bitumen production Staff Correspondent 7th February, 2021 11:32:00 Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir visits Bashundhara Bitumen Plant – the country’s first-ever private sector bitumen plant – at Pangaon of Keraniganj in Dhaka on Sunday. Bashundhara Group MD’s son Ahmed Walid Sobhan was also present on the occasion. Bashundhara Bitumen Plant, Bangladesh’s first private-sector bitumen manufacturer, has started commercial operations on Sunday aiming to cater to the growing demand for bitumen in the country. The Bitumen Plant launched its commercial operations by supplying quality bitumen to 10 renowned dealers from its plant at Pangaon of Keraniganj in Dhaka.

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir has been accorded “Best Excellence Award 2021” for his outstanding contribution to the advancement of the country’s trade and commerce. Indian Importers Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IICCI) conferred the award on him at a function at The Westin Dhaka Monday evening. IICCI President Atul Kumar Saxena handed over the award to the Bashundhara Group Managing Director.

Bangladesh sets example in housing sector, say top business leade

President of IICCI Real State Bangladesh Mahir Ali Khan Ratul handed over a crest to special guest Bashundhara Group Managing Director (MD) Sayem Sobhan Anvir at the ceremony. Bangladesh has set an example in the housing and real estate industry as it had played a major role in national economy in the last 30 years, said top business leaders of Bangladesh and India. Mentioning that the housing industry also contributed to the development of other industries including employment, industrialists said more focus and emphasis should be placed on the housing industry for continued economic growth.  Big businessmen expressed this view at a reception ceremony for Mahir Ali Khan Ratul, the new President of Real Estate sector of Indian Importers Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Bangladesh, at a hotel in Gulshan of the capital on Sunday.
