The Palestinian Authority confirmed that it diverted some coronavirus vaccine doses to VIPs. Some of the 12,000 vaccine doses meant for health care workers on the front line of the pandemic instead went to the Palestinian national football team, government ministers, presidential guards and members of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Executive Committee, Reuters reported. Another 200 doses were sent to the Jordanian royal court, following a request from Amman. The PA Health Ministry noted that 90% of the vaccines went to heath care workers.
