Preliminary investigative details indicate the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling westbound on 1000 North at the intersection of Illinois Route 121 in Cumberland County. Unit 2 was traveling southbound on Illinois highway 121. Unit 1 continued through the intersection without stopping and Unit 2 struck Unit 1 in the passenger side door. DRIVERS:
Unit 1 – Ahmad Abbas Abboud, a 41-year-old male from Arlington, TX – Transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Unit 2 – Dontez D. McQuiter, a 44-year-old male from Detroit, MI – Refused medical attention.
PRELIMINARY:
Preliminary investigative details indicate the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling southbound in the right lane of Interstate 57 southbound. Unit 2 was traveling alongside Unit 1 in the left lane. The driver of Unit 1 lost control after encountering icy road conditions and crossed over into the left lane of Interstate 57 southbound. Unit 1 struck the front passenger side of Unit 2. The driver of Unit 1 was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of Unit 2 refused medical attention. No further information will be disseminated at this time.

Preliminary investigative details indicate the following occurred: Unit 1 was northbound on Interstate 57 at Milepost 176.5. Unit 1 lost control on the icy roadway and struck the guardrail. PRELIMINARY:
A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling eastbound on County Road 700 N, 1/2 mile east of County Road 2900 E. Unit 1 drove off the roadway to the left. Unit 1 continued traveling through a field and struck a tree.

Unit 2
PRELIMINARY:
A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 and 2 were traveling eastbound on IL Highway 33, west of 1700th Avenue. Unit 1 passed Unit 2 and re-entered the eastbound lane of traffic too soon. Unit 1 struck Unit 2, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway to the right. Both units struck a culvert in a ditch and went across an access road. Unit 1 came to rest upright in the south ditch. Unit 2 went back across the highway before leaving the road to the north. Unit 2 came to rest in a field on the north side of the highway.
