Summary
Equity Bank had earlier obtained orders to sell the property in Riruta Satellite, Kawangware, which it holds as securities for a Sh9 million loan the MP borrowed 20 years ago, in a public auction.
A court has blocked Equity Bank’s #ticker:EQTY plan to put the multimillion-shilling matrimonial home of former Naivasha MP John Mututho on sale in a bid to recover a Sh20 million accrued debt.
Senior resident magistrate Peter Muholi put the planned auction of the MP s prime property in Nairobi comprising an eight-bedroom double-storey residential house on hold until an application is heard and determined.

Former Chair of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) John Mututho has had his house put up for auction.
The double-storey 8-bedroom mansion located in Riruta Satellite in Kawangware is registered in the name of John Michael Njenga Mututho.
The land which the house sits on has 17 other single rooms which have also been put up for sale by Garam Investments.

The property, which brings in Sh160,000 rental income a month, also includes four other single storey rental blocks comprising 17 single rooms, three toilets and two bathrooms.

Faith Mumo, who is the top student in 2020 KCPE exam with 433 out of 500 marks, has revealed she was inspired by former Kenyan boxer Conjestina Achieng.
The boxer popularly known as ‘Conje’, has been suffering from a schizoaffective disorder/paranoid schizophrenia since 2011.
Schizoaffective disorder is a mental health disorder that is marked by a combination of schizophrenia symptoms, such as hallucinations or delusions, and mood disorder symptoms, such as depression or mania.
Mumo pointed out on Thursday that she wants to join Kenya High School and thereafter become a neurosurgeon to help people with conditions similar to Conjestina’s.
