GENEVA (AFP) The mysterious “Q” behind the QAnon conspiracy movement, which was instrumental in the storming of the US Capitol, is in fact two people, according to Swiss experts.
Swiss startup OrphAnalytics said it had used its algorithm-based machine-learning text analysis software, developed to detect plagiarism, to help crack the mystery behind QAnon.
“There are clearly two styles characterizing the QAnon messages,” company chief Claude Alain Roten told AFP in an interview at his home in western Switzerland.
A 2019 decree by the government of Montenegro sets forth the country’s intention to set up a military training ground in the highland grasslands of Sinjajevina in the northern part of the country.
But the pastures of Sinjajevina have supported herders for centuries, and scientists say that this sustainable use is responsible in part for the wide array of life that the mountain supports; activists say an incursion by the military would destroy livelihoods, biodiversity and vital ecosystem services.
A new coalition now governs Montenegro, one that has promised to reevaluate the military’s use of Sinjajevina.
But with the country’s politics and position in Europe in flux, the movement against the military is pushing for formal designation of a park that would permanently protect the region’s herders and the environment.

Physicist Rohini Godbole Receives The Highest Honour Of Merit From France

Indian physicist and Padma Shri awardee Rohini Godbole has been honoured with the Ordre National du Merite, which is one of the highest distinctions granted by the government of France to honour eminent persons. Godbole is working at the Centre for High Energy Physics (CHEP) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
In the official communication sent to Dr Godbole, the French Embassy has recognised her achievements as “remarkable” in India and internationally for strong collaboration with French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) within the Indo-French Laboratory in Theoretical High Energy Physics.
