Das Wahrzeichen der französischen Hauptstadt war wegen der Corona-Pandemie geschlossen. Nun gilt für Besucher eine Maskenpflicht. Zudem müssen Touristen ab Mittwoch der kommenden Woche eine vollständige Corona-Impfung, eine überstandene Infektion oder einen negativen Test nachweisen. Die tägliche Besucherzahl des Eiffelturms ist zunächst auf 10.000 Menschen begrenzt. Die Betreiber empfehlen dringend, Tickets im Voraus online zu reservieren. Frankreichs Präsident Emmanuel Macron hatte am Montag verschärfte Corona-Auflagen für Bürger und Touristen angekündigt. Grund sind die wieder deutlich steigenden Infektionszahlen unter anderem in Paris.
