Jakarta. Indonesia has added 60,050 coronavirus cases since the beginning of the month with the country’s four most populous provinces accounting for 60 percent of the figure amid an upturn in newly cases.
The month-to-date count brings the total number of confirmed cases to 598,933, including 18,336 deaths as of Thursday, according to the Health Ministry data.
The total number of active cases sets another high of 88,622, nearly 15 percent of the overall cases.

A further 165 patients have died in the last 24 hours, extending a run of three-digit daily death toll to 19 days the deadliest period of the Indonesian outbreak. During the span, the record high of daily death toll were beaten twice.
