In a function held here in the city recently Sonia Laul, Political and Economic Consul of the U.S. Consulate in Kolkata, handed over certificates to the students in the presence of Arman Ali, Executive Director, National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People and Ketaki Bordoloi, Director, Shishu Sarothi Centre for Rehabilitation & Training for Multiple Disability.

26 brave and bright girls of Khunti conquer English US Consulate awards certificates for success in two-year scholarship programme As many as 26 girls, most of them survivors of child marriage and human trafficking, were conferred with certificates by the US Consulate General in Khunti on Saturday for successfully completing a two-year foundation course in speaking and learing English.   The English Access Microscholarship programme, funded by the Regional English Language Office of the U.S. Embassy New Delhi and the U.S. Consulate General Calcutta, is a two-year programme which provides a foundation of English language skills to bright, economically disadvantaged 13-20-year-old girls through after school instruction and intensive sessions.

US Embassy organises English language course for Delhi teachers January 25, 2021 The online course is aimed at meeting objectives of New Education Policy Seven hundred pre-service teachers from Delhi and the NCR will participate in training courses organised by the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, in partnership with nine key teacher training colleges of the University of Delhi, to help meet objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP) The courses are designed to address some of the objectives outlined in India’s NEP and will help teachers teach English as well as teach in English, according to an official release circulated by the U.S. Embassy.

Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, Jan 9 : Regional English language officers at the US Embassy here will enhance the English teaching competency of the teachers of Delhi government schools. The initiative began on Saturday with the first batch of 50 teachers joining a certificate programme to be run by the US Embassy in coordination with the Delhi government. The new move is part of the TESOL Core Certificate Programme launched by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia earlier in the day.
