Work on the conversion of Iroquois’ former United church into a multi-use commercial facility to a step forward Monday, after SDG council voted in favour of changing the designation of the property from residential to commercial.
The change would allow for the building to be repurposed into a multi-use commercial facility which could include a boutique hotel, event hall, café/bistro, catering business, and wellness clinic. The repurposing project has already received several grants, including SDG’s Regional Incentives Program and regional Sparks funding.
