A neighbor walked up to me the other day maskless. It’s fine, I ll cover myself in hand sanitizer and take a shower and drink an Emergen-C and pray I ll be okay when the only thought that should have been on my mind and which I should have vocalized was “put on a mask and back the hell up.”

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards held his State of the State address Monday, April 12, from A.W. Mumford Stadium on the campus of Southern University.
Gov. Edwards, discussed several topics including advocating for lawmakers to raise the minimum wage, pay increase for K-12 teachers and support staff, Early Childhood Education and proposing an office within the governor’s office to fight human trafficking.

Lafayette, LA - Vaccination rates in rural Louisiana are behind the state’s urban areas. A new grassroots campaign is working to change that. There are people who still have a lot of questions about vaccinations and who might not have an opportunity to ask those questions, said Regional Medical Director for region 4, Dr. Tine Stefanski.
