MONTCLAIR: It has been a long road for electric cars in the United States, but myriad announcements by major automakers signal they are at last moving towards the mainstream.
With more electrical models set to hit showrooms, the focus will shift to consumers willingness to pivot to electric cars at a time when conventional gas stations remain familiar and ubiquitous.

Bob s Discount Furniture plans to open Dover store
The former Toys R Us store in Dover will soon be partly filled by a new tenant.
Bob’s Discount Furniture is planning to open in early summer in that spot near TJ Maxx in the North Dover shopping center on Route 13 north, according to a company spokesperson.
The company has started hiring for the Dover store, which will employ about 30 workers.
Based in Manchester, Connecticut, Bob’s was founded in 1991 and now has 140 stores in 22 states, including one in Wilmington.
The Dover store will be in 32,690 square feet of the former Toys R Us location, leaving room for another store in about 13,000 square feet in the shopping center owned by Brixmor Property Group.
