Dean Robert, 47, was charged with manslaughter in the death of Corey Iodice, who police said was killed when Robert allegedly lost control of his BMW and struck Iodice, who was on the southbound roadway north of Exit 47 cleaning up an earlier crash. On April 22, police said Iodice, an employee of Iodice Family Transport in Fairfield, was in the process of loading a disabled Mercedes Benz onto the flatbed of his tow truck.

Federal authorities have charged two Stratford men with car theft offenses after they allegedly led police in a high speed pursuit between Rhode Island and Connecticut in a stolen Porsche earlier this month.
