NASHVILLE, Tenn. Bridgestone Americas Inc. has promoted Robert Johnson to vice president of store operations for Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO).
In his new role, Mr. Johnson will oversee operations for all 2,200-plus of BSRO s company-owned tire and auto service centers and will play an active role on the BSRO executive leadership team. With more than 15 years of finance and operations leadership experience in the automotive and retail industry, Robert s background will be critical to helping BSRO reach our 2021 goals and beyond, BSRO President Marko Ibrahim said.
Mr. Johnson joined Bridgestone in 2016 as the executive director of finance for the company s retail arm. Prior to joining Bridgestone, he was as a regional vice president for Advance Auto Parts.
Shannon Leigh Keenan
Shannon Leigh Keenan has rejoined Triple 7 Public Relations as vice president and will oversee the company’s Nashville office, musicrow.com reports.
Keenan (pictured) previously worked with Triple 7 PR from 2010 to 2016 in both its Nashville and Los Angeles offices. Reporting to company CEO Carrie Simons, she will work with colleagues in New York, L.A. and Nashville.
Most recently, Keenan served as the director of marketing and public relations for Turbeville Insurance Agency and its five locations in South Carolina. She has served on the boards of directors for the South Carolina Wildlife Federation and Friends of Sesquicentennial State Park. She received her bachelor’s degree from Belmont University.

LEESBURG, Va. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has selected Mark Polke of Robert Bosch L.L.C. as its chairman for 2021, succeeding Bobby Bassett, the recently retired Gates Corp. executive.
Mr. Polke is director of Bosch Workshop Concepts, North America. Mr. Bassett will remain on the board of directors as past chair.
Other officers selected for 2021 include:
Brad Pellman, president, Pellman s Automotive, vice chairman;
Homer Hogg, director, technical services, Travel Centers of America, treasurer; and
Brian Szalk, vice president, planner, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, secretary. Our leadership board is instrumental in helping ASE continue to provide exceptional service to our industry and they help us provide high-quality certification programs that automotive professionals can use to show their expertise and knowledge, ASE President and CEO Tim Zilke said.
Bridgestone Americas subsidiary Bridgestone Retail Operations announced Friday that Marko Ibrahim has been named president.
Based in Nashville, Ibrahim replaces Joe Venezia, who led the tire giant s retail group since 2017 before leaving to serve as executive vice president and COO of The Michaels Companies.
With a network of more than 2,200 locations, BSRO operates what it bills as the world’s largest company-owned network of tire and automotive service centers nationwide under the Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus and Wheel Works brands. Ibrahim joined the company in February 2018 as VP of stores and was promoted to senior VP in 2020. As president, he will lead BSRO’s 23,000 nationwide employees serving serve more than 20 million customers annually.
