West Virginia Universityâs Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is holding its annual multicultural graduation that commemorates all the achievements of underrepresented students currently enrolled.
WVU has been doing this ceremony for around 10 years, and the deadline for students to register this year is April 19. For the second consecutive year, WVU will be holding this ceremony virtually.
Diversity outreach coordinator Aisury Vasquez has been part of the multicultural graduation process for the past two years it has been held online. Students interested in participating must apply and register their information through the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion website.

MADISON, Wis. (April 8, 2021) Dr. Torsheika Maddox has advanced to become the inaugural Senior Operations Officer and Chief of Staff to the Interim Deputy Vice Chancellor for Diversity & Climate and Chief Diversity Officer in the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement (DDEEA).
In her new role, Dr. Maddox will utilize her skills as a trained Sociologist (demographer), organizational and project manager, and higher education leader to enhance the strategy and operational areas of the division while working to strengthen the institutional impact of Chief Diversity Officer’s campus-wide scope of responsibilities.
