After a 9 month hiatus (due to the COVID-19 pandemic), Peeps are back in production just in time for Easter, the only time anyone buys them.
Just Born Quality Confections announced last spring to stop production in order to protect employees health as the pandemic began to rear its head.
Consumers had to go without Peeps for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine s Day, but the company says their production is back in full force.
To celebrate the occasion, the company is releasing two new flavors: Hot Tamales, and Fruit Loops.

The makers of Peeps announced Wednesday that the colorful spring treat you know so well will be back in production in time for Easter, after a 9-month production break.
Just Born Quality Confections said the number one non-chocolate Easter candy will be back on shelves in time for the holiday which made them famous, after nearly 70 years in Easter baskets.
Back in September of 2020 the confection company had to halt production of seasonal shapes and packaging typically available for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine s Day. The company cited safety measures and limited production abilities in their plant due to COVID-19.

After the production of seasonal candies was suspended last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, new Peeps in fun holiday shapes are returning to grocery store shelves in time for Easter on April 4.
Just Born Quality Confections, the iconic candy s parent company, shut down two factories in Pennsylvania last March due to concerns over worker safety. Luckily for Peeps connoisseurs, the manufacturer revealed that all of its Easter marshmallow treats had already been produced and shipped to retailers at the time of the closure.
