Patna: Ahead of the 2021 census due to start in a few months, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday called for a caste-based census to be done, saying it will aid in helping people belonging to different castes. He added a caste-based census is necessary for taking governance decisions. Caste based census should be done once. This will give correct information. It will be easy to decide about how many people belong to which caste and what should be done for them, news agency ANI quoted Kumar as saying.
