ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. New Mexico State University’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences is hosting a summer camp that will offer 30 teenagers the management skills behind ranching.
The deadline to apply for the camp, known as the New Mexico Youth Ranch Management Camp, is April 16, according to a news release from NMSU.
The program starts June 13 and runs until June 18 and is open to teenagers between the age of 15 and 19. Attendees will receive college-level instruction in how to manage a ranch, including financial statements, marketing strategies, producing quality beef and managing natural resources and wildlife, the release said.
