Patrick Foye will lead Empire State Development, New York State’s economic development arm, as interim president and CEO.
In a new shift in leadership, Foye, a Long Island resident, is leaving the MTA, having led that agency as president, chairman and CEO for the past four years.
Foye will begin his new role on July 30. He had led the ESD previously under then-Gov. Elliot Spitzer.
