REVEALED: Cuomo s top aide Melissa DeRosa screamed at and bullied Rep. Elise Stefanik over her opposition to the governor s plan to shift ventilators to hard-hit NYC - ending their 20-year friendship
Last April, Cuomo said he would seize life-saving medical equipment from areas less hard-hit and send them to hospitals most in need in NYC
This sparked a backlash from some lawmakers, with Stefanik leading the revolt
A source said DeRosa, 38, called the congresswoman, 36, on her personal cellphone furious about her comments on Cuomo s executive order
Stefanik refused to walk back her comments and they haven t spoken since
Since then, the feud has escalated with DeRosa accusing Stefanik of being complicit in the MAGA mob riot at the US Capitol
ALBANY, N.Y. â Ahead of National Heatstroke Prevention Day, the Governorâs Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC), the New York State Department of Health, and the Office of Children and Family Services are urging parents and caregivers to make sure they do not leave children, vulnerable adults or pets alone in a hot car. Even a short time left in a car can be dangerous as temperatures inside, even with windows left partly open, can quickly escalate.
âWith everything we juggle in a day, especially parents, it is easy to get distracted and forget about a child sleeping or sitting quietly in the backseat,â Mark J.F. Schroeder, DMV Commissioner and GTSC Chair said.
New York state will resume administration of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced over the weekend, noting that federal public health experts and the state’s own independent task force have reviewed data regarding the J&J vaccine, and reaffirmed that it can be used again. The vaccine is the weapon that will win the war against COVID and allow everyone to resume normalcy, and we have three proven vaccines at our disposal. I urge every New Yorker to take whichever one is available to them first. The sooner we all get vaccinated, the sooner we can put the long COVID nightmare behind us once and for all, Cuomo said.
