WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Watertownâs Hitchinâ Post Tavern is back in business after getting its liquor license back.
Last October, the New York State Liquor Authority ordered an emergency suspension of the Court Street barâs liquor license for violating the stateâs face mask and social distancing rules.
The move came after video from inside the bar made its way around on social media and eventually to Jefferson County officials, who had the Watertown Police Department start an investigation.

A little before noon that day, just west of the Amtrak train station in Depew, Judge John Michalski was hit by a train. He survived, but Depew Police have said little outside of a statement issued Tuesday.
The state reads, “an individual pedestrian identified as John Michalski was involved in an incident with a train.” It goes on, citing State Public Officers Law preventing the release of more details.
