Two members of the NYPD were shot in Brooklyn overnight Monday and another officer stabbed in the neck as protesters defied an 8pm curfew imposed by beleaguered Mayor Bill de Blasio.
“The melee unfolded when a suspect approached a cop on Church Avenue near Flatbush Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. and stabbed him in the neck, a police source said,” reports the New York Post.
Meanwhile, the mayor faced a growing backlash after saying the violent situation reminded him of John Lennon’s utopian anthem ‘Imagine.’

NEW YORK – A year on from the spate of antisemitic incidents that rocked the New York area, including deadly attacks in Jersey City and Monsey, Jewish leaders remain fearful for the future despite the high-profile show of solidarity for the community that initially followed.
“I’m saddened that I think a lot of the progress that was made because of these horrible incidents has eroded one year later,” says Evan Bernstein, CEO of Community Security Service, which helps empower Jewish communities to act for their own safety.
“I think antisemitism is still as relevant as it was before, and I’m concerned now that people just don’t think about it and they’re not looking at the antisemitism that’s still taking place,” adds Bernstein, who previously spent 20 years working at the Anti-Defamation League, including seven years as the organization’s regional director for New York and New Jersey.
De Blasio Says Trump Admin Played ‘Valuable Role’ in Rolling out COVID-19 Vaccine Quickly
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio offered rare praise for President Donald Trump on Tuesday for his role in getting a COVID-19 vaccine out quickly.
“In terms of getting the vaccine, yes, I do think the president and his administration contributed substantially to getting a vaccine in this kind of time frame,” de Blasio told Fox News on Tuesday. “That’s a really good thing.”
The Trump administration officially started Operation Warp Speed in May with initial funding of $10 billion. The program aimed to accelerate the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. COVID-19 is the disease the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus causes.

It is one of history s greatest ironies: No segment of society punishes the poor more than those who champion their cause.
This is true historically in nations claimed by Marxism, and in democratic nations today claimed by liberalism. Rhetoric aside, the left always screws the poor. The latest Marxist to do so, in a democratic country no less, is New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.
De Blasio recently announced that the way to help the poor do better in school is to hike taxes on the rich. He said our mission is to redistribute wealth and to close the COVID achievement gap.
