Metro Health is working to make COVID-19 vaccination access more equitable by launching mobile clinics on the South, West and East sides of San Antonio.
In March, city spokeswoman Michelle Vigil said the initiative was something Metro Health was working on to provide more opportunities in San Antonio. The first mobile clinic popped up on Sunday to serve the East Side at the Antioch Sports Complex.
The mobile operation continues Monday on the South Side at Knights of Columbus Hall, 5763 Ray Ellison Boulevard, until 5 p.m. On May 3, another clinic will be hosted at New Life Christian Center on the West Side at 661o W. U.S. Highway 90.

It is just a small blue church in Halifax s Fairview neighbourhood, but it represents family to members of the growing refugee and immigrant community in the area.
Jean Serge Mangapi, a member of the congregation, was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo but spent most of his life as a refugee in Kenya before migrating to Canada in 2015.
He experienced many traumas before moving to Halifax. Those included the murder of his brother.
He said being introduced to the church by Pastor Keith Wells was a life-changing experience.

MUSKEGON, MI - For the 14th year, a community effort is ensuring Muskegon families have a gift-filled holiday season.
The Downtown Neighborhoods Christmas Store offers new toys and gifts at discounted rates on the purchase price for parents who are struggling during the holiday season. It’s organized by members of Muskegon neighborhoods.
“It’s just been just a big blessing for so many parents that have to focus on rent, they have to focus on utilities, they have to focus, even in the holiday season, on a Christmas dinner or things of that nature. So that kind of takes a little pressure off of them,” said Charlotte Johnson, a coordinator of the Christmas Store.
