Sununu Gives Update on NH Vaccine Rollout © Provided by New England Cable News Gov. Chris Sununu provided an update on the coronavirus vaccine rollout in New Hampshire on Tuesday afternoon. Vaccinations began Saturday for the more than 300,000 people in Phase 1B, which includes those aged 65 and older, people with multiple qualifying medical conditions, corrections workers and those living and working in residential facilities for people with developmental disabilities. Health officials said 200,000 people age 65-plus have registered to receive the vaccine in Phase 1B through the state s website, along with another 50,000 who were referred by their health care provider. About 130,000 people have vaccine appointments scheduled, and the schedule is already booked through February. Appointments are still available in March and beyond.

MacDonald has been confirmed as chief justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court, ending a protracted political dispute over who should lead the state’s high court. The Executive Council vote Friday broke along party lines, with the council’s four Republicans uniting to elevate MacDonald, who’s never been a judge but who is widely respected in state legal circles, to the state’s highest judicial post. “I haven’t seen an attorney general work any harder than Gordon MacDonald,” said Councilor David Wheeler, a Republican from Milford. “He has never lied to me that’s a big deal for me never given me false information. And that is a characteristic I’d like to see in a Supreme Court justice.”
