Driver of BMW dies after car plows into bus stop in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Authorities are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred Monday morning in Lauderhill.
The crash was reported around 1:30 a.m. in the area of Northwest 16th Street and North State Road 7.
Lauderhill police Lt. Michael Santiago said officers arrived at the scene to find two vehicles with extensive damage.
He said detectives believe a BMW involved in the collision was speeding north on State Road 7 while a Mercedes-Benz was heading south before attempting to make a left turn to go east on Northwest 16th Street.

Dec. 24 A second shooting in South Florida on Christmas Eve has left another man dead. The shooting happened around 11 a.m. in the 1700 block of Northwest Sixth Place, Fort Lauderdale police said.
As with a fatal shooting in Miami-Dade at 1:23 a.m., the victim was a man sitting in a car. Fort Lauderdale paramedics took him to Broward Health Medical Center, where he died from the gunshot wounds.
The Christmas Eve deaths were the fifth and sixth shooting fatalities this week in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Palm Beach County region:

ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - The combination of shipping delays on a national level and a high impact winter storm means some of Minnesota s shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is running a little behind schedule.
In a press briefing Wednesday, Minnesota Department of Health Infectious Disease Director Kris Ehresmann said Moderna s national distributor told the state officials they are behind on shipping vaccines. There are four providers three local public health agencies and one skilled nursing facility that will have shipments delayed.
