Nine colleges across the United States are piloting a technology-focused career training initiative that aims to prepare 500,000 learners for jobs of the future by 2030. The Verizon Reskilling Program is being led by workforce and education nonprofit JFF, in collaboration with Generation USA, a nonprofit that provides free career training, placement and support, with funding from Verizon. The effort will target people from underrepresented populations and those who do not have a four-year degree.
The colleges will tap into Generation USA s training curricula to offer free programs in web development, IT support, cloud computing and more all focused on the skills students need for in-demand technology careers. The programs track record boasts an 80 percent completion rate and 75 percent employment rate for graduates, according to a news announcement.

A few reminders: Everyone who wants a shot will still need to fill out a screening and consent form on site. You will be asked if you re a Florida resident or if you re in Florida to provide goods and services. This means you re in the state to work. If you say yes, you can get a shot, according to the division.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Baseball is back at Riverwalk Stadium! But, it’s not the Montgomery Biscuits.
The organization teamed up with Black College Nines and BCSG 360 to host the Black College World Series. The four day tournament began on Wednesday and will continue through Saturday.
“Yeah, it’s definitely different hearing the ping of the bats for college games compared to what we’ve heard, just birds flapping around, and just trying to keep the field looking good,” said Biscuits general manager Michael Murphy.
