As a Republican who has voted for John Rutherford, I am ashamed that he has proven to be a Trump cultist rather than an honorable member of Congress. Fortunately, we can correct this unfortunate situation in 2022.

I am outraged that Congressman John Rutherford, along with over 120 of his colleagues, as well as Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, signed on in support of the lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Paxton in the Supreme Court. It is important to understand what that lawsuit was about – the state of Texas sought to disenfranchise 20 million voters in the states of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin and to disregard the will of the people in those states. The Supreme Court saw through this blatant attempt and summarily dismissed the lawsuit. It is ironic that a

It’s all over now. Or at least, it should be. Across the nation, members of the Electoral College met, cast their votes and sent them to Washington, D.C. As expected, Joe Biden won handily; as the day progressed, events unfolded just as they were meant to do.
But this election has left deep scars on the nation’s psyche.
In Florida – which came down solidly for Donald Trump – those wounds include a heedless, inexplicable decision by 10 of our congressmen. By signaling their support of an attempt to void the votes of millions of Americans, including some who have put their lives on the line in this country’s defense, they shattered a sacred trust. Among them: Our Rep. Michael Waltz, a combat veteran who had – until now – been carefully building a reputation for working across the aisle and focusing on positive achievements.
