For every person that complains about the cold weather in the Cowboy State, there are at least as many people that love it, if for no other reason than to enjoy our outdoor sports.
That is the case with 9-1-1: Lone Star actor, Rob Lowe, who recently shared picture and video of footage to his official Instagram account, of him and his stunt double hiking and skiing at the Grand Tetons.
You can tell the Golden Globe nominated actor was not use to the altitude by how winded he was in the video above. Not only was he sweating, but he was having quite the difficult time getting his thoughts and words together after his hike up the mountain. It was all worth it for Lowe, who captioned the second video (shown below) with:
Make Your Mark in Boise By Naming New Park in Downtown
Have you ever wanted to be famous? Even just to your friends and community? Well now s a good chance at some self gratitude and pride. The city of Boise is currently in construction for a new park in Downtown. The visuals they have release with the plans look pretty darn cool. Overall a great looking place to catch some peace in downtown. The future park and current construction site is at 11th and Bannock.
The city is asking for help and input from the community. They need a name for the park and want your help. The Department of Parks and Recreation said that several potential names have been submitted but they are looking for the public to be involved again before a final name is chosen.
L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger Restores Parks Funding
It was announced Tuesday night L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger has moved to support the restoration of parks and recreation funding to pre-pandemic levels.
Through a motion by Supervisor Kathryn Barger that aims to invest in services and programs in Los Angeles County communities, the Board of Supervisors approved the budget restoration of the Department of Parks and Recreation, according to barger’s office..
“After a year of decreased social and physical activity for families across Los Angeles County, our renewed focus on programs, staff, and services at local parks and nature centers provides an opportunity to rejuvenate our residents,” Supervisor Barger said. “Parks programs are a fundamental part of wellness for our neighborhoods and provide opportunities to play, grow, and create lasting memories.”
