He must register as a predatory offender and submit to a polygraph test as directed by his probation officer. He is to abstain from pornography, phone sex lines, dating services, strip clubs, adult book stores and other adult entertainment establishments.

Christopher Lynn Nelson, 39, of Hawley has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
A charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct was dropped in a plea agreement.
According to court records, he digitally penetrated a girl under the age of 9 in Frazee and engaged in other incidents of sexual contact with her over a several year period when he lived in Frazee.

Charges have been dropped against a man who was accused of terrifying staff at the Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room, because he is believed to be mentally unfit to stand trial.
Mark Thomas Hawanchak, 51, of Northfield, was charged in Becker County District Court with felony threats of violence, misdemeanor fifth-degree assault and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal damage to property.

Earlier that evening, he had threatened to kill the doctor, and threatened to kill him again when he had him by the throat, according to the criminal complaint.

Nicholas John Endriss, 24, of Hackensack, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of making violent threats.
According to court records, on July 15, law enforcement was called to Essentia Health St. Mary’s hospital to help with Endriss, who had grabbed a doctor by the neck and tried to take him to the floor.

Mary Jolene Brunner, 37, of rural Ponsford, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime.
According to court records, on June 26, a White Earth police officer pulled her over on Pow Wow Highway for expired registration. He told her he smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and she admitted she had weed, pulled a bag from her right front pocket, and gave it to the officer.
He said he still smelled marijuana, and she pulled another bag of marijuana from her left front pocket and gave it to the officer. She and a passenger were asked to exit the vehicle and empty their pockets, and she handed over a jar of marijuana wax.
