A Freeport Area School District senior will sing in the prestigious National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-Eastern Honors Chorus. Madison Beer is one of 320 singers comprising the chorus. Singers represent 12 states, as well as regions from Europe. She said she was shocked to learn she’d earned a spot in the chorus. “I was blown away,” Beer said. “I was just so happy and thankful that I was chosen to do this.”

Clements named assistant vice provost for faculty affairs-faculty development January 14, 2021 UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. Ann C. Clements, director of Penn State’s Center for Pedagogy in Arts and Design (C-PAD) and a professor of music education, has been named the University’s assistant vice provost for faculty affairs-faculty development. Clements will begin her appointment on Feb. 15. In her new role, Clements will serve in the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and lead strategic efforts to expand and reconceptualize programs and services related to the professional and leadership development of more than 6,400 full-time faculty across the University. With a career spanning two decades in higher education as an administrator and faculty member, Clements has wide-ranging experience that will inform her work in faculty affairs.
