Unannounced traffic diversions cause inconvenience to motorists Updated: Updated: Share Article Chock-a block: Traffic came to grisnding halt on the NH-16 in Vijayawada on Thursday.   Traffic diversions and regulations imposed by the police for Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s programme at Benz Circle here caused severe inconvenience to the passengers and motorists on Thursday. Police diverted traffic coming from Machilipatnam, Hyderabad, Gudivada, Bhimavaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram and other places to Eluru Road, Pinnamaneni Polyclinic Road and other sub-roads. Mr. Reddy launched 2,500 vehicles meant for door delivery of ration across the State. However, sub-roads witnessed major jams as many vehicles, autos and the school and college buses were parked on the roadside.

Traffic Diversions In Vijayawada On Thursday, Here Are The Routes To Avoid Jan 20, 2021, 08:54 IST Vijayawada police on Wednesday announced that the traffic diversions will be imposed in the city on Thursday as Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will flag off a fleet of 2,500 ration door delivery vehicles at Benz Circle on January 21. CP Srinivasan said that traffic from Benz Circle will be divereted to other routes on 21st January. The traffic diversion and restrictions will be put  in place from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. on January 21st and no vehicle will be allowed from Benz Circle to RTC Y Junction from 9 pm on January 20th to 12 noon on January 21st.

RAJU Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will flag off a fleet of 2,500 ration door delivery vehicles at Benz Circle here on January 21, District Collector A. Md. Imtiaz has said. Mr. Imtiaz, along with other officials, inspected the arrangements at the venue. The vehicles that will be flagged off at 10.25 a.m. belong to Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari districts. From February 1, provisions such as rice, dal and other items that are at present being given at the fair price shops will be delivered at the doorstep of the beneficiaries in these vehicles.
