Are New Vehicles Smarter Than People?
I should clarify that sentence, stating are new vehicles smarter than me? Well it seems they are as I discovered this week when my wife and I traded in her 2008 car for one 10 years newer.
I drive a basic van with no frills or fancy gadgets, and have been primarily driving vans for decades because I just need something to carry my mobile DJ equipment in when I have gigs. My wife prefers a small car, but one that is more like a station wagon that can easily fit two Greyhounds and an Italian Greyhound.
There has been a shift in energy this week; a perk in everyone s spirits. Can you feel it? I think a big part of that is the fact that artists are starting to announce tour dates again. It is restoring our faith that things will eventually return to normal.
Eric Church announced his Gather Again Tour which is coming to the SNHU Arena in Manchester December 3rd. Old Dominion is coming to the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion 4th of July weekend (THAT S GONNA BE A PARTY!) And we just heard that Kane Brown is also hitting the road on his Blessed & Free tour where he will perform at every NBA Basketball arena in the country. According to Taste of Country he is the only country artist to ever do that! Pretty sweet, right? OF COURSE that means he is coming to the TD Garden in Boston. That show will be on January 14th. PS: Jordan Davis is opening! (Love that guy, best beard in country music IMHO)
Native American Outcry Sparks Renaming Of South County Landmarks
In an effort to take back their history, the summit of Monument Mountain in Great Barrington, along with one of its trails, was recently renamed in honor of the Native Americans who call the area home.
According to a report from Western Mass News, the Trustees of Reservations, a conservation group that oversees the land, has renamed two areas of Monument Mountain, after a year of collaboration with the Stockbridge-Munsee Community Band of Mohicans.
On Friday, the Trustees announced that Squaw Peak, the summit of Monument Mountain, is now named Peeskawso Peak. Also, the new name for the Indian Walking Trail is the Mohican Monument Trail.
