Pets of the Week: Meet Griffin & Kris
Every Wednesday at 8:30 we re joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.
This week s Pet(s) of the Week are Griffin and Kris, two neutered males who are Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) positive. These two boys were found separately as strays in two Berkshire County towns. Griffin is a 3-year-old grey and white tiger domestic shorthair and Kris is a 10-year-old buff domestic longhair. They should not go to a home with cats that are FIV negative. FIV is not feline leukemia. With proper care, including keeping the cat indoors, FIV positive cats can live for years, and the staff at the shelter believes that have many great years left to give to a new family.
