His vocation, however, has always been writing – as an advertising copywriter, screenwriter for television and film, magazine contributor, and bestselling short story writer. His stories have been published in anthologies and magazines in Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan and Hong Kong.

Trust Restaurant, the Hillcrest restaurant that turned 5 last month, ended its self-imposed hibernation and reopened on Feb. 25.
Although the county lifted restrictions on outdoor dining in late January, many local restaurants including those owned by chef Brad Wise’s Trust Restaurant Group opted to remain closed until it was clear that COVID-19 cases had declined and stabilized enough to avoid another costly shutdown. TRG reopened its Fort Oak restaurant in Mission Hills on Feb. 12 and its Rare Society steakhouse in University Heights on Feb. 11. It’s planning to reopen Cardellino, its year-old Italian restaurant and market, in the coming weeks.
Police received a report THE following cases were heard at Teesside Magistrates Court this week. MR LIAM ANTHONY NORMANTON, 25 of Worcester Gardens in Hartlepool was committed to prison for an overall sentence of 12 weeks, suspended for 18 months and disqualified from driving for 12 months, after being caught behind the wheel under the influence of cocaine as well as being found in the possession of a wooden rolling pin. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 to victim services. MRS NICOLA WALLINGER, 41 of Londonderry Road in Stockton was given community order after assaulting a police officer by coughing in his face and claiming to have Covid-19. The defendant pleaded guilty and was proved guilty in their absence and was made to pay £200 in compensation.

On Saturday, February 6, 2021, at approximately 11:35 p.m., police responded to the area of Pegg Road and Liberty Street in Lexington Park, for the report of gunshots.
A short time later, a 911 caller reported a gunshot victim in the 21800 block of Primrose Willow Lane in Lexington Park.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the upper body. A helicopter was requested for his injuries.
Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7 transported the patient to an area trauma center with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police located evidence on Pegg Road between Pacific Drive and Liberty Street, and on Primrose Willow Lane. One vehicle was struck multiple times by gunfire.
January 15, 2021
On Thursday, January 14, 2021, at approximately 7:05 p.m., police responded to Clipper Drive in Great Mills, for the report of gunshots.
Dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reported gunshots in the area, with multiple callers reporting residences were struck by gunfire.
Police arrived on the scene of Norris Road and Clipper Drive in Great Mills to find at least 18 shell casings in the roadway.
Multiple residences throughout the area had children present at the time of the shooting including one residence on Chancellors Run Road that was struck multiple times by the projectiles.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and Criminal Investigations Division (CID) responded to the scene and is investigating the incident.
