IndyCar and Penske Entertainment Corp. officials announced a multi-year extension of NTT serving as the series title sponsor Thursday.
The announcement comes ahead of the biggest 10-day period of the 2021 IndyCar season, starting with Fast Friday, two days of qualifying and the final hours of practice before the Indianapolis 500 on May 30. The partnership extends beyond naming rights and IndyCar CEO Mark Miles credited NTT with helping design a foundational fan experience and venue setup to build IMS around for the future.
The partnership began with the start of the 2019 campaign and was set to expire at the end of 2021. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and both sides declined to clarify how many years the extension was for.
