In the incident, three vehicles- a Tata DI van, an ultra bus and a car was severely damaged along with public properties after the bus went off the road.

GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident, a major accident occurred in the Latasil area in Guwahati on January 23.
According to reports, a Di pick-up van rammed into an ultra bus which later smatched into a shop overcrossing the railings.
Speaking to Sentinel, Munim Choudhary from Latasil Police Station said, The incident occurred at around 7:30 AM in the morning.
According to the Sub-Inspector, the ultra bus was travelling on the road in front of the Latasil police station when a pick-up van from the Guwahati Planetarium side transporting cows hit the bus from behind.

Rajasthan state government has ordered the Divisional Commissioner of Jodhpur to enquire into the tragic bus accident in Jalore district of Rajasthan which led to 6 people being charred to death and 6 others being critically injured. The government has also announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the kin of those who died in the accident. The state government has taken the decision to get the tragic incident that occurred due to bus getting burnt in Jalore on January 16 because of coming in contact with electricity cables enquired by Divisional Commissioner Jodhpur. , Mahendra Soni, Commissioner, DIPR, Rajasthan government, mentioned.
