BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin was released from a Birmingham hospital Wednesday after receiving treatment to address COVID pneumonia, according to city officials.
While in Princeton Baptist Medical Center, officials say Mayor Woodfin received Remdesivir and convalescence plasma therapy.
The mayor’s personal physician says the mayor’s condition has improved since being admitted to the hospital on January 4.
Woodfin will continue his recovery at home, where he will self-quarantine as he continues to perform his mayoral duties.
