The annual Small Business Week, presented by the SBDC, BBB and U.S. Bank, will kick off with a food truck cook-off June 6, that will be held drive-through style. A special peopleâs choice award will be presented to the most popular food truck.
Other events include a variety of workshops and events  throughout the week to educate, celebrate and champion small businesses in the Pikes Peak region, and an awards celebration on June 10.

COLORADO SPRINGS DELAYS
In Colorado Springs, city administrative offices will open at noon. The Colorado Springs Municipal Court will open at noon.
The city has a full call-out of 40 snow plows for snow removal operations. Wind and blowing snow have slowed snow plowing operations forcing crews to re-plow roads, and crews are working extended shifts to deal with primary and secondary routes.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) In honor of Women s International Day, KRDO is highlighting one local woman-owned business.
According to the Chamber of Commerce, there are more than 20,000 women-owned businesses in El Paso County.
Jessica Fierro is the owner of Atrevida Beer Co., a local brewery in Colorado Springs. As a female brewer, she s faced several challenges, but during the pandemic, those challenges almost doubled.
Atrevida Beer Co. entered its third year of business when the pandemic hit. Fierro says they saw an 80% to 85 % decrease in revenue compared to 2019.
