Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had on 26th January 2021 in the exercise of the power vested in him by Section 4 of the Quarantine Act, Cap Q2, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2010 and all enabling powers in that behalf signed the piece of legislation into law.

NAS Blames Worsening Insecurity on Unresolved Issue of Restructuring

The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) has declared that unresolved issues of restructuring are behind the gale of insecurity in the country. The organisation said the sudden “rashes of wanton killings in almost every part of Nigeria – between farmers and herdsmen, between IPOB loyalists and law enforcement officers, between citizens of Southern Kaduna and the faceless murderous ‘bandits’ were mere symptoms of a deeper ailment.” The NAS Capoon, Mr Abiola Owoaje, in a press statement titled: ”Before Anarchy Reigns in Nigeria” which expressed concern over the insecurity in the country noted the efforts of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and other non-state actors to douse tension, adding however that “we feel it an urgent duty to warn that under the surface of calm simmers the cauldron of war.”

NAS, also known as Pyrates Confraternity has also alleged that the failure to interdict the criminal elements, bandits, insurgents, marauding Fulani herdsmen and kidnappers, has significantly polarised the country and turned Nigeria into a theatre of violence while undermining the confidence of average Nigerians in the willingness and ability of the State to protect them.

Vanguard News NAS donates desks to Abuja school On By Johnbosco Agbakwuru In a bid to compliment the efforts of government towards the provision of learning facilities in schools, the National Association of Seadogs, NAS, also known as Pyrates Confraternity has donated double seater desks worth over N200, 000 to LEA Primary School Gwarinpa Estate 11, Abuja. The donation which was made by the Abuja 1 Chapter (Zuma Deck) through its Sub-Deck (Galleon Bay) was also part of the association’s contribution to the commemoration of the 2021 International Day of Education. Speaking while making the presentation, President of the Zuma Deck Chapter of NAS,  Mr. Anderson Oseh explained that the gesture was to compliment government’s efforts in ensuring that pupils learn in a conducive environment.

NAS Distributes Uniforms, Writing Material to Pupils in A Ibom School

By Okon Bassey The National Association of Seadogs (NAS) also known as Pyrates Confraternity has distributed 100 uniforms and writing materials to Government Primary School Ikot Ndua Iman/Ikot Nkan in Onna local government area of Akwa Ibom State. Making the donation, recently, the President of the association, Eket chapter, Mr. Paul Ike said the gesture was in commemoration of the International Day of Education, in Onna. He said small, medium and large uniforms and writing materials such as exercise books, biros, rulers, erasers and sharpener were distributed to the pupils of the school. Ike noted that education was key to sustainable development and encouraged the pupils to be of good behaviour to their parents and their teachers.
