The Transport Secretary said he hasn t been able to visit his father Tony Shapps for two months due to lockdown rules - but praised the incredible NHS staff who he speaks to every day .
Mr Shapps said his father has always been quite techy so spoke to the family over the phone - but hasn t been able to do so in the past few days.
It is not clear why Tony - who ran an audio video equipment business with his wife Beryl until he retired aged 76 - was initially admitted to hospital.
