Schools and colleges: how to get your symptom-free Covid-19 test

The testing centre at St Mary s Market Schools and colleges across St Helens continue to provide tests to thousands of pupils and staff in the area. Secondary school pupils, college students and staff of all schools and colleges will receive twice-weekly symptom-free (rapid lateral flow) tests from their school or college. Nursery and primary school children will not be asked to test at this time, but they can attend one of the symptom-free testing sites in the area with their family to get tested. Social media campaign celebrates lockdown heroes and our community

THE council is celebrating the power of our community and recognising how heroic small acts can be in the in the fight against coronavirus in a new social media campaign. Cllr Anthony Burns, St Helens Borough Council’s cabinet member for Wellbeing, Culture and Heritage, said: “The people of St Helens have been amazing since the start of the pandemic – by following the rules and staying home as much as possible, to protect the most vulnerable and keep the pressure off our local NHS. “I thank every one of you for staying at home as much as possible whilst we regain control over the virus. Be a Hand Washing Hero, a Space Avenger and a Face Mask Crusader. These may seem like little things, but they’re easy to do and will save lives.”
