The Maharashtra government on Wednesday complained of shortage of coronavirus vaccine in several parts of the state, including Mumbai, and said that the doses are available only for the next couple of days. The inoculation drive has even been halted in Panvel citing unavailability of vaccine . However, the Centre termed the complaints as a deplorable attempt to divert attention from the failures of the state government and spread panic among people . Mumbai, April 8 : A new trend of letter-writing by accused in jails has started in Maharashtra which is a political conspiracy intended to defame and destabilize the Maha Vikas Agadhi government, Shiv Sena MP and Chief Spokesperson Sanjay Raut said here on Thursday.
In his first reaction after the letter-grenade lobbed by arrested-suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze levelling several allegations against the MVA ministers, Raut said that these efforts to dislodge the government are on since day one. The real faces of those who are trying to sabotage the state government are coming to the fore. A new trend has begun of people in jail writing letters which are used to hammer the government. There are many others in jail and a lot can be written from them also. This kind of dirty politics is unprecedented in the history of state and the country,
Patil on Thursday claimed two more state ministers will have to resign in 15 days and that the state was a fit case for President s rule . His remarks came a day after suspended cop Sachin Waze in a letter claimed former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had demanded Rs 2 crore from him to continue his service in the Mumbai police and another minister Anil Parab asked him to collect money from contractors. Deshmukh, a senior NCP leader, resigned as home minister on Monday after the Bombay High Court ordered a CBI probe into corruption allegations levelled against him by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh.
