“These numbers are a cause for concern for recreational cyclists, as well as Timmins Police Service,” Traffic Division Sgt. Thomas Chypyha said.
“These collisions are deemed to be preventable. Motorists and cyclists must be made aware they are sharing the roadway, but particular attention must be given to younger bike operators whose enthusiasm might cause them to occasionally overlook the applicable safety rules.”
