As promised, Portland’s sunny and warm weather will continue through Sunday, if not longer, with mostly clear skies and temperatures maxing out at 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
A continuation of Portland’s recent summer-like weather “looks to be the way to go for today, with similar temperatures as the last couple days and plenty of sunshine inland,” the weather service wrote in its 3:57 a.m. analysis of the conditions expected Sunday. While some low clouds could waft into Portland Sunday morning, most of them should clear out to the coast fast.
Portland Police said on Sunday there were two separate shootings in less than an hour of each other, one person was hurt and another person was killed.

Boston Celtics center Tristan Thompson was an unexpected addition when the team’s injury report came out Tuesday afternoon.
Thompson has a left pectoral strain and is questionable to play Wednesday when the Celtics play the Magic, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Orlando.
It’s unclear when he suffered the injury. Thompson had just two points, four rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes against Portland Sunday after grabbing 15 boards Friday’s come-from-behind win over San Antonio.
