The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement debunked on Wednesday speculation raised by report on The Times about its relations with Turkey.
In a press statement, Hamas official Sami Abu Zohri said that the allegations made in the report are “baseless,” stressing that the relationship between Ankara and the Palestinian factions “is good and stable.”
The reports claiming that the ties between Hamas and Turkey have been tense are backed by Israeli lobby groups and aim to undermine the bilateral relations between both sides, Abu Zohri pointed out.
“Hamas is used to such inciting reports against its relations and connections on Arab and Islamic scales, even at the international level,” Abu Zohri said.
The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met, at his office at the Amiri Diwan on Sunday morning, with the Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Dr Ismail Haniyeh and the accompanying delegation.

The Head of the Hamas Political Bureau said on Sunday evening that the movement has rehabilitated the option of resistance in all forms and has made its mark on the Palestinian struggle. Ismail Haniyeh made his comments during a televised speech to mark the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement. Hamas has helped to make resistance a strategic option by convincing our people and Ummah that it is a fruitful option, explained Haniyeh.
