After being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials with the Princeton Optimist Club have announced they are planning to hold the annual Black Patch Heritage Festival this year.
Officials made the announcement on social media Thursday afternoon. Officials said they have met and talked with both Princeton Mayor Kota Young and Caldwell County Judge-Executive Larry Curling and everyone is in agreement to proceed with the plans for the annual community event.
Officials noted they will be working with the Caldwell County Health Department and following its recommendations and guidelines along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They said there may be some changes to the layout and some activities during the festival but they want to get back to normal as soon as possible.
