NEW ORLEANS (press release) – BENE Handbags Founder Ellie Schwing, Artist Alexa Pulitzer and Preservation Hall Creative Director Ben Jaffe announced a collaboration design launch of the capsule collection handbag. Created to highlight New Orleans artists and raise funds for local culture bearers all in style, each luxury BENE handbag will feature Alexa Pulitzer’s iconic “King Gator” sculpted and hand-dipped in gold for the handbag closure, and a nylon liner featuring the original handwritten score of Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s “Keep Your Head Up,” which was written by Jaffe. Preservation Hall presents ‘Round Midnight Preserves livestream concerts
As fans await the return of live music at Preservation Hall, the venerable jazz institution will present ‘Round Midnight Preserves 2021, a free, two-night livestream concert, that will serve as a fundraiser. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be joined by Ivan Neville along with Durand Jones and the Indications.
Son of the great soul singer Aaron Neville, Ivan Neville is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and singer. He has played with the likes of the Neville Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt and Paula Abdul, as well as leads his own band Dumpstaphunk.

Durand Jones and the Indications, helmed by vocalists in Durand Jones and drummer Aaron Frazer, conjure the dynamism of Jackie Wilson, Curtis Mayfield, AND the Impressions. An aesthetic steeped in the golden, strings-infused dreaminess of early ‘70s soul, the Indications are planted firmly in the present, with the urgency of this moment in time.
